WUXAL Ascofol Ca
Wuxal Ascofol Ca is a highly concentrated natural algae suspension derived from the brown algae Ascophyllum nodosum.
WUXAL Ascofol Ca has a stimulating effect on plants that are under stress. Many studies have highlighted increased resistance to biotic and abiotic stress factors in plants, as well as increased postharvest fruit longevity, as the main benefits of Ascophyllum nodosum algae extracts.
The high boron content acts synergistically with the bioactive components of Ascophyllum nodosum extracts.
The high Calcium content of Wuxal Ascofol Ca is very important in the storage potential of fruits and vegetables. Calcium strengthens cell walls and cell membranes, further enhancing the disease resistance offered by the components of Ascophyllum nodosum extract. Boron additionally improves fruit growth and plant tissue stability, while reducing the risk of fruit breakage.
Marine algae extracts such as Wuxal Ascofol Ca are reported in the international literature as agents that improve the activity of herbicides and insecticides.
The bioactive constituents of seaweed extracts are mainly Cytokinins, Auxins, Giverillins, Betaines and Polysaccharides.
- improves plant health and growth under any stress conditions
- stimulates and enhances the plants' natural defences against pathogens
- the high concentration of Calcium prevents the complications that occur from its deficiency
- improves the storage and post-harvest shelf life of fruits and vegetables
- improves the colouring of the fruit, particularly in unfavourable conditions
- improves the effectiveness of insecticides and herbicides
- excellent scouting ability on both fruit and foliage of the crops to which it is applied

Temperatures below +5°C and above +40°C as well as frequent temperature fluctuations during transport and storage should be avoided. Very low temperatures will cause crystallisation. These crystals are completely water soluble and will redissolve in the spray solution. Prolonged storage may cause a change in coloration. Neither crystallisation nor colour change affects the quality of the product. When applied with other formulations , make a small scale test before general use. As we cannot control the conditions of storage and application we can not be held responsible for the quality of the formulation at the time of delivery.
